Like the rest of the reality based community, those of us here at The Next New are thrilled that Barack Obama will be our next new President as of January 20, 2009. Wasn’t eight years of George W. Bush about eight years too many?

I won’t make the claim that Obama will be a perfect President. None of us are perfect. But I do believe that he will do his best and I also believe that his best is far beyond what we’ve been used to.

He will be an an intelligent, pragmatic, President and I think he can be the leader to help turn this country around and put it back on track.

It will be a wonderful day for the entire world when Obama is inaugurated as THE NEXT NEW PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA on 1/20/09.

Apparently it’s almost impossible to get inaugural tickets but I know I’ll be watching it live on television along with most of the rest of America (and probably quite a bit of the world.)
